Dr. Rajesh S, the Owner and Managing Director of Surya Hospital, brings with him over 19 years of distinguished experience in the field of Orthopedics. He completed his MBBS from Mysore Medical College in 1999 and pursued his orthopedic residency at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. His career in academics and clinical practice began in 2009 as an Assistant Professor at Father Muller’s Medical College Hospital, followed by a decade of dedicated service at the Thumbay branch of Father Muller’s.

Over the years, Dr. Rajesh advanced to the position of Associate Professor in 2014 and later Professor of Orthopedics in 2020. He has to his credit several research publications in reputed medical journals and has guided numerous postgraduate students as a thesis mentor. Alongside his academic pursuits, he began serving patients in his hometown, Uppinangady, in 2011, eventually establishing his own clinic in 2014. These years of dedicated service laid the foundation for the inception of Surya Hospital.

The hospital’s growth and administration are further strengthened by the support of Dr. Chandralekha N, who serves as the Administrator of Surya Hospital. She is currently the Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at Father Muller’s Medical College, bringing her academic and leadership expertise to ensure that the hospital consistently upholds the highest standards of patient care, safety, and management.
